Empowering Communities Through In-Depth Assessments
To support SFEA’s one-year pilot intervention, Ntare Solutions conducted a rapid assessment to gain a deep understanding of poverty levels, livelihood opportunities, and environmental challenges in Bagamoyo, Longido, and Ngorongoro districts. Using a mixed-methods approach, we combined household surveys with stakeholder interviews to gather critical data. Our findings provided SFEA with a comprehensive poverty profile, key economic activity analysis, and stakeholder mapping—ensuring an informed and strategic intervention.

Evaluating Clean Energy Solutions for Last-Mile Communities
Ntare Solutions partnered with EED Advisory to evaluate the performance and impact of Simu Solar’s water pumps. Through a multi-phase approach—baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations—we installed remote monitoring modules, conducted user surveys, and provided ongoing support. Our insights helped assess the effectiveness of solar water pumps, their socio-economic benefits, and potential improvements for future appliance field testing.

Strengthening Tanzania’s Marine Value Chains
Ntare Solutions conducted a comprehensive value chain analysis for three key marine sectors—sea cucumber, seaweed, and small pelagic fish—aiming to enhance ecological resilience and economic sustainability. Our research provided detailed insights into production, processing, market functions, and challenges in each sector. We identified opportunities for improvement, including better post-harvest handling, increased access to technology, enhanced market linkages, and sustainable resource management. Our recommendations are now guiding strategic interventions to support coastal communities and marine biodiversity.
